Lochhead Cottage, located on the beautiful shores of Loch Sunart, is a traditional highland cottage with spectacular views that has been transformed into an idyllic getaway.
The cottage has a cosy sitting room with an open log fire and a spacious, bright, and well- equipped kitchen with all the mod-cons you need. There is also a bathroom with shower.
Upstairs there are double and twin bedrooms. The cottage has a large fenced grass garden (with furniture) making it ideal for children and dogs, although there is terracing and a drop behind the cottage.
This is a very popular cottage and boasts a very high number of repeat visitors. Whilst there is no TV signal, there is a TV/DVD player and a CD player. However, one of the things that make this cottage so popular is the wildlife that can be enjoyed – it’s not uncommon to see sheep or deer from your window!
Strontian, which is just three miles away, has two food shops and a number of good eating and watering holes. The Mull ferry is thirty-five minutes drive away.
8 miles away is the quaint village of Strontian, home to a local post office, general store and petrol station as well as local shops, cafes, bars and restaurants – all serving delicious local produce. For those who want to explore further, the livelier town of Fort William is 28 miles away – just an hour’s drive via the Corran ferry. As well as having a range of shops and eateries, Fort William also boasts a leisure centre, golf course and swimming pool.
